When we judge others, we limit and cripple ourselves. Our freedom depends on freeing others.

A Course in Miracles tell us that everyone provides a mirror for us. What we see in them, we believe about ourselves. We are thus given the task of seeing only their innate innocence and desire to love. That is how we will remember who we are.

A Course in Miracles teaches that we are all coming from love or fear in every action. Just because someone acts without love, does not mean they are evil or lacking. It means they are acting out of fear. They are in pain and out of touch with their true nature. We, as “miracle workers,” are charged with remembering the Self in others—no matter what they do or do not do. We do this for our own sanity. We are asked to remember that fear is not anyone’s ultimate identity. Only love is real.

By seeing the possibility of light in others, we begin to forgive ourselves and remember our true identity as well. A Course in Miracles puts it this way: “When you attack a brother, you proclaim that he is limited by what you have perceived in him. You do not look beyond his errors. Rather they are magnified, becoming blocks to your awareness of the Self that lies beyond your own mistakes.” (Workbook Lesson 181)

This week be a miracle worker. Be the eyes and ears of love. Bring love into every room. Focus on the love and strength and beauty in others. Notice how this focus uplifts your world.
